  • KQ Sustainability Design Challenge – Upcycling Old Uniforms!

Kenya Airways continues to incorporate and integrate sustainable practices in our day-to-day business operations as we work towards aligning to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As part of the on-going KQ Sustainability Challenge, we engaged fashion students from various institutions in Nairobi to up-cycling various obsolete products from Kenya Airways.

The judging panel that includes Wanjiku Murigi – CEO HISI; Connie Aluoch – CEO Connie Stylist Management; Mark Stephenson - CEO Sandstorm; Olive Gachara - CEO Couture Magazine and Linda Murithi – Founcer/CEO The Core Fashion Kenya received final submissions on Thursday, 26 September 2019. The winning team will be announced in the month of October.

This challenge is part of our corporate responsibility agenda that requires us to engage in sustainable practices across all our operations.
