KQ Sustainability Design Challenge – Upcycling Old Uniforms!
Kenya
Airways continues to incorporate and integrate sustainable practices in
our day-to-day business operations as we work towards aligning to the
UN Sustainable Development
Goals. As part of the on-going KQ Sustainability Challenge, we engaged
fashion students from various institutions in Nairobi to up-cycling
various obsolete products from Kenya Airways.
The judging panel that includes Wanjiku Murigi –
CEO HISI; Connie Aluoch – CEO Connie Stylist Management; Mark Stephenson
- CEO Sandstorm; Olive Gachara - CEO Couture Magazine and Linda Murithi
– Founcer/CEO The Core Fashion Kenya received
final submissions on Thursday, 26 September 2019. The winning team will
be announced in the month of October.
This challenge is part of our corporate
responsibility agenda that requires us to engage in sustainable
practices across all our operations.
