Or maybe we do, well, not directly, but here’s the thing; you don’t actually need us to!

Thanks to our codeshare partnerships, you can book your trip to Florence with Kenya Airways and still enjoy a seamless journey from Nairobi all the way to Italy’s artistic heart. No juggling multiple tickets or re-checking your bags midway. Just one booking, one check-in, and one smooth trip all the way to your stroll along the Arno River.

Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, is where timeless art, historic architecture, and vibrant Italian culture come together. Whether you’re headed there for business, leisure, or a little inspiration, getting there is easier than you might think.

Here’s how it works:
When you book your flight to Florence through the Kenya Airways website or your preferred travel agent, the entire journey, including the connecting leg operated by our partner airline such as KLM or Air France is combined into one ticket.

That means you check in once, at your departure airport. Your baggage is tagged all the way to Florence. You travel under one booking reference, even if you’re connecting through another hub, so there’s no need to buy separate tickets or worry about transferring luggage between airlines. Behind the scenes, the partner airlines coordinate to make your journey as smooth as possible.

So, what exactly is a codeshare flight?
A codeshare flight is an agreement between airlines to share routes and schedules. It allows Kenya Airways to sell seats on flights operated by our partner airlines, extending our reach to destinations we don’t currently fly to directly, like Florence.
For travelers, this means more destination options within one trusted network, flexible connections with minimal hassle, Flying Blue Miles on eligible codeshare routes, and consistent service standards throughout your journey.

In short, one airline experience, multiple destinations. So, are you ready to book your next trip?

The big bird brings with it a mixed bag of chaos. Just before dawn, when the darkness of the night is about to start rising, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)’s Terminal 1A can be so quiet it feels like an apocalypse happened. There are birds in the air approaching the airport in various intervals; KQ 479 from Kigali, KQ 311 from DXB, KQ 117 from AMS, KQ 535 from LOS, KQ 115 from CDG, KQ 509 from ROB.
